"HOW TO MAKE MY DREAMS COME TRUE"

DREAMS....that's what all people have in life and that's what we all all wish to be in reality. Different people have different dreams in each of their lives. Some nay be a dream about the progress of the country, a dream about the street children to be sheltered, a dream to those suffering in poverty to have a better way of living or it may be just a dream about your own success.

But the big question goes like this, "How are we going to make our dreams come true?", "Is it as simple as asking for a wish to a genie and that for just one blink of your eye, your wishes were granted?", "Could you reach your dreams by searching for the best magician in the world and let him perform some kind of magic just to make your dream in reality?"

Well, for me, it's not as simple as wishing on a wishing well and just waiting for something to happen. Honestly, I'm a very ambitious girl and have lots and extraordinary dreams in life. Every single day of my life, I always think of how to make all those dreams come true.

Some of my dreams are quite impossible or unreachable anymore. Some are just simple as that of a dream of an ordinary student. That is....to be able to finish studies. I'm still on the second year in my Highschool Life and my journey is still a long way to go. I don't know when I will be able to reach the finish line of my journey in life. To finish college and be a certified professional person in the future is just of my dreams in life. I will be able to reach this if I'll study hard and prioritize my studies first before any kind of craze in the school. Even though sometimes problems arise, but through the help and encouragement of my family to be more diligent, I'm willing to continue the hard journey in life. My family and loved ones served as my inspiration in my studies, and if I'll achieve my ambitions in life, I will help them sustain their needs and will help for the schooling of my younger siblings.

We all know that sometimes, there are some things that hinder us in reaching our dreams in life; one may be a financial problem or it may be some kind of family and emotional problems. But despite all that, we should be more strong and determined. Even though we stumble and fall a hundred times, but that doesn't matter most. What's important is that we are able to stand by ourselves. We should all be hardworking and we should continue the long journey of our lives in order that we may reach our destination --- which are our goals, ambitions and dreams in each of our lives.

FACEBOOK is SHUTTING DOWN by MARCH 15 --is just a hoax--

As long as my ears have heard the news about the closing down of the famous social networking site: FACEBOOK, I can hardly explain what I feel. The news made me feel a little disappointed may be, or I was just worried of what will happen if it will actually shut down. I kept thinking and asking myself, "Is it really true?" or "Is it just a not-so-true rumor of people who have nothing to do in their lives but to just fool other people of what they're saying?".

My classmates were really shocked of the news they've heard. They faces were indescribable, and just like my reaction, they can hardly believe it. For students like us, it was really an unpleasant news for Facebook had become a great part in our lives. But to some parents, it was kinda good news for them. Why? Simply because their teens today are now hooked to this social networking site and spend most of their time chatting and sharing some of their infos and photos all over the world.

As long as I got home from school, I immediately opened the computer, and signed in to my Facebook Account. I posted in my wall, asking if it's really true or not? Imagine? A life without Facebook? Hmmm.. Well, I'm not saying that I can't really live without opening my Facebook Account. Before, I was able to have a happy life naman nong wala pang computer at net connection bahay namin. Of course, I can live a happy life without it, but since I'm kinda "hooked" also of this site, life would not be easy at first. But if I'll make myself busy with other stuffs, I'll just simply forget that I have a Facebook Account.

Hmmm.. going back to the real topic, . Well, I found out from my research that I was one who were fooled by the news I've heard. "It is April Fool's Day all-year round at Weekly World News News, which is well known for its false report." It was not closing by March 15 after all. We have fallen in a kind of hoax. Too sad, I'm one of those for I didn't search if how true it is.

But, it's okay. Next time, I will not let myself fall into a pit of false reports or rumors. Anyway, the good news for now, especially to all people who believed about the news yesterday is that, FACEBOOK would not be closing by March 15.

PULIS KO, TEACHER KO

January 11, 2011 - The PNP in the Municipality of La Libertad held a program on "Pulis Ko, Teacher Ko" in the La Libertad Convention Center. The policemen conducted a symposium to different students in La Libertad Technical-Vocational School (1st year-4th year), with the La Libertad Science Classes (1st year-3rd year). Headed by Chief Besario, they gave lectures about "Anti-hazing, Child Abuse, Bullying against Women and Children and especially the Traffic Law." The policemen kept reminding us about the consequences of our bad behaviors and actions in school. One happens to be the involvement of some LLTVS students in gangs or different kinds of organization. Walking right in the highway happens to be one also of our mistakes whenever we parade along the streets in going home. The police also warned some students found in internet cafes during class hours and those that plays "hantak" - a kind of game that's more likely to be a gambling game, that they should stop this kind of activities for these will hinder us from graduating in highschool.

The best lecture we've heard this morning was given by PCINSP Hermenio Diaz Tucaling (PPO/CHIEF PCR). Students were amazed of what they've heard and their ears were hooked in his lecture. His lecture included:

Seven Deadly Sins
  1. Sloth
  2. Envy
  3. Pride
  4. Wrath or Anger
  5. Gluttony
  6. Greed
  7. Lust
Seven Laws of Success
  1. Set your own goal.
  2. Have a good education (the preparation stage)
  3. Good health
  4. Drive
  5. Resourcefulness
  6. Perseverance
  7. Let God dwell in your heart.

  • We should all avoid not just the 7 deadly sins, but also different forms of bad actions that may hurt or may affect other people's lives, so that we may not suffer the consequences and face the penalties of our actions.

  • Through all these 7 laws of success, we can have a better future. We can achieve all our goals and ambitions in life by bearing these laws in our minds. If we could not afford to follow all the other laws, we must and we have to do the 7th rule; that is to "Let God dwell always in our hearts." All we have to do is to trust God for He will always help us in reaching our destination in life.

Hopefully, the students were able to place all those things we've learned in their heart, mind and soul so that they can help not just our municipality, but also the fatherland in bringing it into success,.
